Just got a 1997 CC 36v resistor cart. Runs good but has very little torque. Flat ground it will do a max of 12.4 MPH, by gps. A little wind or rise and it drops FAST to about 9.9 to 10.2 MPH. Batteries are about 1 yr old and hold a charge at about 39.2 volts with full charge. Has the pie shaped throttle box. What should the top speed be? Acts like its not hitting the top end of throttle. Any ideas?

Re: little torque
stock speed is 10 to 12 mph and yes they slow down at the slightest of hills or inclines thats just the nature of the beast.....there is a way around it buy converting from resistor to controller..........its even odd a 97 has resistors but going to controller cart and maybe a high speed motor you,ll do much better.................................
