Default When did CC Change to V-Glide?

My first Cart was an 84 I think and I know it had multiple solenoids. I was wondering when they changed to the one solenoid and V Glide, and how long they used this sytem.

I'm thinking it was 1989. First year resistor coils and plastic body.

I actually never had a 1988 but i had at least 2 or 3 '87s and a few '89s... one of my mentors told me that 89 was the change year.

My 88 has 1 solenoid, row of resistors behind the batts and Vglide. I think that was the first year, not sure. The vglide is club cars name for the speed control box, it can be a resistor type or pot box type.

1988 it is!
Does your 88 have a fiberglass or plastic body? Rear fender flairs molded in (plastic) or add-on(fiberglass) ?

I know I had '87s with 5 micro switches at the end of the throttle linkage.

Neat the way you can modernize any old DS, huh? I had an 03 pull into the shop that had a 85 serial #.
You could hardly tell.
