easy to build a speed sensor...and is a $2.00 project

Received the $1.55 part in the mail yesterday and will attempt the repair this weekend. Sure beats $75 for a new sensor!! Is there a special solder and flux for electric vs the solder/flux I use for plumbing?

URGENT use some form of a heat sink when you solder ...an alligator clip works.

the solder for plumbing is too thick and might require excessive heat..a very thin solder with a ROSEN core is best requiring less heat and the core is like a FLUX to aid in making the solder flow
