Re: Battery tub insert kit
I installed 1 about a month ago. The electronics are placed on a bracket which mounts behind the tub. 4 guage battery cables are supplied along with all other extender cables. I had to splice a few of the smaller cables, they forgot to send an eyelet for the battery cable which went throught the obc. All in all, it looked pretty good once it was finished. I will advise anyone to tag all of the small cables (not the ones with connectors attached)as you will be looking at some ends and wondering where they go. The body will need to be removed and reinstalled however this is an easy task. In fact I used the rear bumper as a seat while attaching all of the electronics. We installed new Trojan batteries and my customer is very happy.

Putt Putt,
If you will look at the picture you sent , look to the right side of the tub and you will see the brackett and wiring. Tommy |

Re: Battery tub insert kit
Club Car and Nivel have kits. I used the Nivel version, followed the instructions and everything went well.
I forgot to grind/cut off one of the "bumps" in the OEM tub, so one of the middle batteries was a little high & rocking around, but I pulled that battery out and removed the bump, and we are good. Have fun, Dave |

Re: Battery tub insert kit
Club Car includes a new obc in their kit, Nivel does not. This will explain the difference in cost.

Re: Battery tub insert kit
That's good to know. Decisions decisions. so after switching over to 8 volt batteries will the old charger work
or will that need to be changed also? I'll start searching the forum. |
