Alltrax 4844 connection
Been over a year, and thanks to the forum members I have not been alone. Got the final parts in place to upgrade my 94DS to 48v- had a curtis 24-36v controller. Got 2 batteries, solenoid and bit pieces on it, new charger- everything seems fine, kinda lucky to run I suppose, and it runs fair. But the problem is I cant see the motor controller from laptop. Ive read other posts about com ports but Im dont know how to check or change that. Im using a radio shack usb to whatever(9pin?) with a cd and its loaded, but I cant find the controller...
Defaults may be where I stay, but by golly I wanna see them! |

Re: Alltrax 4844 connection
If the Alltrax is installed in the cart, and the cart runs correctly, you are 7/8ths home. The software wants to see an "active" controller. This means key on, forward selected, slight application of gas to trigger the solenoid, start software. It might be best to support the rear axle on jack stands and use a helper to operate the gas pedal. Do not floor the gas or let the wheels spin very fast in midair as motor damage can occur from no-load high RPM.

Re: Alltrax 4844 connection
If you follow Gman's instruction to the letter you will see the controller's LED light come on green and flash the throttle program code that (hopefully) matches what you have in your cart..... after that code the green light should stay solid.
You are now ready to open the program and view the settings. |
