Check, clean and tighten all battery cable connections . . . see if that helps.

Re: 96 ds motor chatter
THANKS A BUNCH!! SHADOW MAN AND STEVEGRMICH!! I checked batt. under load found 1 that was 5.1v the rest of them were 8.1 all read the same,it has not been charged fully yet.I took the bad batt. out of the loop and tried charger but it pegged neddle steady,so I quickly unpluged cart also cart will run now with no shutter. Is there any way to charge batt. with only 5 batt until I can afford new batt? One guy quoted me Trojans at $110. each. Is that a good price?
Thanks again for the help, your site ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: 96 ds motor chatter
glad you found it but your gonna have to replace that one.....try and find a used one until you can get a set........your charger should work ok once you get a good battery in there......so i would take care of that and see where you are. theres really no way to charge it the way it is but you can try charging the low one with a 12 volt charger for 30 minutes and put it back in see if charger acts differently however DO NOT leave it unattended while doing this.....you really want the cart right as far as batteries go and thats the last place to cut corners ...............................

I don't know where you are, but they run 119.00-129.00 around here. They just went up in January.

Re: 96 ds motor chatter
If you can find a good used battery that matches what you have in ampere hours. Putting a new battery in mixed with older ones will quickly ruin the new battery. Any cart shop in your area should be able to come up with a good used battery! The optimum scenario would be to find the same year ( usually stamped into one of the posts ), the same make, and same ampere hour rating. It may take a little looking, but you should be able to find one!
