Default Powerdrive I circuit breaker trips

I have a 2002 48V club car, with powerdrive (Not 2 or 3), when I plug the charger in and when it starts to power on the circuit breaker trips. I have replaced the circuit breaker, and performed the ac power cord continuity test, secondary transformer test with a output of 109 volts. I have a new replay but have not replaced as I have not read were this could affect the systems.

Any help, I have new 2011 batteries and have not made any conections changes recently, checked cables for tighness etc. Read about a DC test in the powerdrive manual but can't really picture in my head what they are explaining to do.

TDAWG:

Thank for the quick reply, I will begin my search for a new one, is there a simple test you can do on this to verify it is bad?

There's a sticky thread at the top of the page that will allow you to view the charger repair manual. The test procedure is in there.

Thanks to all, I went and got the Heatsink today, I will let you know how all comes out. As for the powerdrive manual in the stick looks like the series I manual is no longer there? Said deleted due to trademark? See the series 3 manual.
