Light kit for my 93 DS
I need your opinion(s). I need to put a light kit on my DS. It is a new law here in Georgia. I need a horn, blinkers, seat belts, and running lights. Has anyone done this and do you have any recomendations as to brand?
Thanks! |

Re: Light kit for my 93 DS
kelly you can buy a complete kit that much i know, around here there is no road driving so when i put lights on its only front and rear........as for what brand??? there are to many to even try and guess at but if it were me......look to make sure the headlight buckets have the little side part for the turn signal light same with the rear......your better kits should come this way......make sure it has all the wiring harness,s you,ll need and the flasher, the brake light switch turn signal lever.......you would think this should be a no brainer but beleive me its not.........there are also kits you can but if you already have the proper light housings and all you need are lightbulbs, wiring, flasher brake light switch.......i bought a kit once that cost 45.00 it was just the lever, flasher, turn signal lights, wiring.................just take your time figure everything your gonna need and then start looking ............this is one thing on a cart i would stay away from e-bay on, start by calling site sponsers and see what they offer....................................

Re: Light kit for my 93 DS
Thanks, Tom. I'm an old car guy - been fooling with cars for 30 years, so the wiring will be no prob for me. Just wondering if anyone here has done it before. Thanks again!

Re: Light kit for my 93 DS
yes lots of guys here have installed their own lights its just to the dagree that it changes like basic lights or what your looking for, also seat belts and horns......hors are easy just get a cheap 12 volt horn and hook it up i ran mine with the old time high beam switch on the floor of trucks i just tap it with my foot to blow the horn ...............was fairly simple to install......i have never done seatbelts but i do remember someone here posted a pic of how they installed them and again it was fairly strait forward...................
