Finally working on my own stuff!
I get so wrapped up in working on other people's stuff I barely ever get to do anything to my own. Did a body change and a paint job on all the trim today. I know you guys like pics so tell me whatcha think...

Re: Finally working on my own stuff!
Congrats on the family and finding a way to make a living at something that you seem to enjoy.
I'm one of those guys that just use my cart for golf and they have to be basically stock in my community. I just do simple jobs on my cart, and those of friends, so I really appreciate hints and tips from folks that know what they're doing. I purchased a 2009 Precedent service manual and it has a lot of complex wiring diagrams that I find difficult/impossible to trace. Are there other Club Car manuals available that have some simple schematics? |

Re: Finally working on my own stuff!
No they changed their layout about the time the Precedent came out. They're far more confusing than they ever used to be. However, if your car is an IQ you can look at a 2002 or so DS IQ book and get a pretty good idea of how it works.

Re: Finally working on my own stuff!
I did notice a lot more info in the older books. When I'm bored I try to sketch out simple circuit diagrams of things like the circuit for the lights so that I know what relay does what. It helped me figure out how the 3 wire powered brake switch operated. Right now I'm trying to figure out how a voltage reducer works when it only has one wire in, and one out. The only thing I've figured so far is that perhaps it's just a resistor working as a voltage divider. I keep thinking there could be a Zener diode in there but I can't figure out how that would work with one wire in and one out.
