1985 with no motor
I bought a 85 cart with no motor on it . I want to upgrade it to 48 volts and have been reading some of the post. It is a solenoid and resistor setup and was wanting to know if this setup can be upgraded to handle the 48 volt motor or should i scrape this setup and run another. i could use some ideas thanks

Re: 1985 with no motor
you can put a 48 volt motor in but you gain nothing at all.........yes you can upgrade it but you need to start from scratch and its not gonna be cheap.........1000 + maybe 1500 .....................................

Re: 1985 with no motor
I bought the cart cheep so a 1000 or 1500 will not be to bad and have a 48 volt setup. If what I have been reading is correct i need to dump the old system and run a controller setup . Please correct me if i am wrong , next would be a place or two that could be trusted to sell me what i need .

Welcome to the forum!
ScottyB is a trusted member here who has all the stuff and will help you every step along the way. He will customize you a package for exactly what you need based on your use of the cart. He'll be along sometime shortly or look him up...he's easy to find on here. |
