Default Hopping problem when peddle is pushed 91' CC

I recently installed a new F/R switch and when the peddle is stepped on in forward, the cart lunges like the motor snaps in gear. Reverse moves fine.

Is there anything I can check or do to try and reduce the hopping forward when the peddle is pushed?

I started holding down the break to keep from hopping forward and then easing into the peddle like driving a clutch..

Thanks for any help.

Default Re: Hopping problem when peddle is pushed 91' CC

Anyone seen this kind of issue I described above?

Even after I get the cart moving, as long as I keep the solenoid latched with the peddle and the cart moving it glides fine. When I let of the peddle completely and then step on it again the cart jumps forward when the solenoid snaps closed.

Going up the hill from the lake yesterday in my back yard to the house the thing almost popped a wheelie. Kind of cool except it through all my stuff around on the bed (ice chest, ect) and the wife sitting beside me.

I do have a bad break cable on the drivers side that was causing the breaks to slam on but I clamped the sheath back down and reduced that issue but thinking it might have something to do with it.

The four speeds seem to be working okay, but the darn thing really jumps when the solenoid engages after stepping on the peddle.

Any ideas at all?
