Have not got to try it yet do to the fact my micro switch on the v-glide broke after I install the motor so I am waiting on the part to arrive.
Ahh ok, you could have sent your old 36 volt to Plum Quick to achieve I believe the same results for 225. Unless you plan on going to 48 volts in the future.

Ok got my new micro switch for the v-glide hooked everything up. I turn the key on got power to everything and soon as I step on the peddle the mirco switch on the F&R popps like there is a short somewhere. I cant find anywhere there is a problem. Does any one know what might make the mirco switch pop? I seen a arc at the mirco switch wire that runs down to the solenoid. I even tried a new mirco switch at the F&R switch with same result....Total confused... Car ran with old motor and old soleniod installed new motor new cables new soleniod two new mirco switches and nothing but popping and arc on the F&R mirco switch..

Sounds like the diode is turned around backwards on the solenoid.

the silver band on it goes towards positive side and if it was on backwards i wouldn,t worry about testing it i would just replace it................

Can you get a diode from a parts store?

Guys thanks for all the advice and help...Nothing seems to be working so I dropped it of at a repair shop. They said they never had one shorting out at the micro switch like that. They say they will start from scatch...First remove all batteries and start checking each wire. I will post what they find when I get it back...Thanks again for all of your advice and help.
