Default Precident batt changeover

Pro's,Con's and pitfalls of changeing over from 12v batts to 8v batts,whats involved is it worth the effort..Thanx in advance Dave

depends on variables like :

how far you drive daily

how fast you drive

do you go up hills

is your controller stock or beefed up

what did you eat for breakfast this morning

the tray to convert is like 400 bucks then the price for new batteries.....

davet,

Here is a link where Driver33b did this conversion. He took the existing battery tray and modified it to work. Looks like it came out good, but took a little time to get it done. I know you will likely need to replace the OBC unless you have the 3.0 version. Lots of details in his thread.

I am considering the same thing in another year or so when I have to replace my batteries. Good luck and let us know if go down this route.

Rinman,thank you for the link and Driver for the info,I was trying to check it out for a customer who asked about it.This guy will probably sell the cart and buy another when he I tell him what's involved.Dave
