Head Light kit question
Hey everyone, i have a quick question for one of my friends who is looking for a headlight kit for his 91 club car.
Ive been looking around for him, and it seems like there are headlight kits for carts up to 92 and kits for headlights 93+. what is the difference between the earlier carts and the 93+ carts. From pictures the front cowl looks the same, i dont have any older club cars with me to compair, and currently i can only get my hands quicky on 93+ kits for him. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. I dont see why a 93 kit wont fit, but i cant really tell from pics on the net if the front is shaped slightly different. these are the light i can get my hands on these as well will either of these work in a 91 front cowl? i dont see why not. I just want to be sure. Because when i look up the complete front cowls for the cc's they are for 89+ so i would guess that they are the same Thanks everyone |

Re: Head Light kit question
Anyone please?
I need to order these by tomorow at the latest. ive looked at some front cowl pics on the net of a 91 cc and a 2000 cc and notice that they have a slight difference between where the club car lable is.. but i dont see any difference in the location where the lights go... i dont see why after cuting out the hole and such, that it wont fit.. the first set. with the large lenzes could have some issues i believe. i read somewhere that the front is slightly narrower.. but the second one i dont see why it wont fit. It would be a major help is someone could post up some high res pics of a front cowl for a 86-92 cart. ive already got some newer cowls to compare with. |

Re: Head Light kit question
I feel your frustration when you don't get any replies. It's happened to me before.
I think the CC's are all the same from 84+ as far as the bodies go but I would call the place where you are going to order the lights from and ask them directly. That way if they don't fit you can send them back and get the correct ones. Good luck |

Hey thanks! yea, i ordered them, but also i got some light bezels for just the 84-92 carts, they had them in stock, so if the bezels for the 93+ wont fit, i will have some proper bezels that i can see if i can fit the light reflector in. I orderd the second set, because, i think that the pre 93 front cowl is everso slightly thinner profile at the front, and that entire light housing is not as tall as the fancy first kit.. Oh well its all about testing it out and finding out Thanks agian |

Re: Head Light kit question
The only difference that I'm aware of is the early bodies were fiberglass and the later ones were plastic.
You made a good choice on the bottom set of your photo because with the wide bezel, you have more "uh-oh" room on the headlights if you make the cut a little too large. I have used both. |

Re: Head Light kit question
Thanks rusty,
I will have my heatgun on my side if the contour is off by just a bit or whatever, if they didnt want the light set soo soon, i would have time to do more research into it. I quickly looked over at stretch plasitcs and their kits, and they dont really specify any years. Just "for Club Car" Ive installed a fair bit of these light kits on Ezgo's and Yamahas without any major problem. You could say, "I am one with the dremel tool" .but yea.. you always need "uh-oh" room. I will keep you all updated on how it turns out. and ill try and snap some pics during install. Thanks everyone |

Re: Head Light kit question
the top pic is factory club car head lights from club car.. bottom are after market lights
the top ones need a bigger hole cut out the bottom ones a smaller hole to be cut out but as long as you have no cut outs already in your front cowl you can use either set |

Re: Head Light kit question
I think that the older club cars are a little thinner in front... if you bought the lights for a newer cart the top of the lights might stick above the body a little, but they will fit.

As The Other Poster Said The Top Photo Is Oem And The Bottom Photo Is After Market The After Market Is Easier To Install And Less Expensive And Work Well
