03 cc precedent just stopping
I have an 03 cc pecedent electric and at random times it will just quit running. there are no modifications to the motor or batterys. i have switched out the controller with a know good one and the same thing happens. when it does happen i can no longer hear the soleniod click. if i stop and switch the f/r switch back and forth or the run tow switch it will work again. i dont know if that has anything to do with it or if when im doing that it alows something to cool down. any advice would be great.

possible bad speed sensor on motor possible.....theres a real simple test you can do but right now for some reason i can,t think of it......it involves just getting off the cart and pushing it by hand..........one of these guys will bail me out here........................................

speed sensor huh? cool it would be cool to know that test. It is really hard to test because like i said its random and when it does it by the time i have the multimeter ready it will run again. starting to pull small tuffs of hair out.

Speed sensor test: ("borrowed" from other threads . . )
Try and push the car manually and see if the motor braking tries to keep it from "Rolling away" If the sensor is working, it'll try to slow itself down, if it just keeps rolling, it's bad. Make sure you do this test in the "RUN" position. If it's in "TOW" it will definitely roll. Also: Push the cart in forward and then in reverse..with the key on . . . does it beep indicating ROLLAWAY if not speed sensor is bad...if it beeps then sensor is good |

Re: 03 cc precedent just stopping
Sorry to ruin your hopes NLMonkey but a bad speed sensor won't keep the solenoid from clicking. You've got either a bad keyswitch, OBC, MCOR, or Solenoid. Drive the car til it fails and put it in reverse. If the buzzer sounds you can eliminate the OBC as the problem. My money is on the MCOR, that's usually the culprit. It's a small black box attached to the accel pedal. Remove the floormat and take off the access cover and you'll be able to see it. Un-plug the Two-Pin connector from the MCOR and jump the two wires of the harness together with a paperclip and give it a little bit of throttle. See if it runs. If it does you've got a bad internal limit switch in the MCOR and you must replace it.
