Default newbie ?'s on 1980 C.C.

First day I had my cart my son was driving it he said it just stopped and then he smelt something burning. I found the second from the right facing rear soleniod burnt at the top big post. I replaced the soleniod but I am sure that I don't have the wiring correct. Lead from battery goes to the top big post on master soleniod the bus bar runs across the bottome big posts on all soleniods, and the resistor coils are on the #1-#4 soleniod not comes the confusing part. there was a wire daisy chained from master left side small post to each soleniod on same side post. I get nothing I looked at old wire and the best I could see that had top big post to left side small post I get all soleniods to click when pedal pushed but no go but if you move that jumper wire on master from big on left small to top big =right small i get movement but only on first 3 including master soleniods PLEASE HELP

WELCOME to BGW !!!
The wiring diagram for this cart is in the stickies at the top of this section. Just print a copy and go to fixing it!

If the first one (driver's side) Does not Click (make contact), Then none of the others will work. there are 5 micro switches in the speed selector box under the drivers seat at the end of the throttle linkage. Each micro activates one solenoid. I would make darn sure the wiring on the Solenoid bank is 100% correct before you start disassembling the speed selector

Are you talking about the wire that chains or loops to all of the solenoids?

thanks for welcoming me Rusty. Scotty there is a small wire looping from the left small post on the master going to the left post on the rest of the soleniods. but on the original wire that were burnt up it looks like the top post of the master was jumpered to the left small post. I checked all the micro's i get .8 ohms resistance had to replace #3 micro it had 3.0 ohms if I leave the top post of the master to the left small i get nothing but if i go from the top of the master to the right small post i get movement. but only to master 1&2

I'm not sure I understand your question? All of the micro switches are sending power to their prospective solenoids? And you have a 36v power supply to solenoid #1?
Are you following this diagram!?

yeah I following that diagram the best I can but if you look at the master soleniod you see the wire that leaves the left small post and they don't show where it goes and the soleniod all the way to the left you see they show two wires that look like they are going to the resistor coil I have one and it goes off to the motor. sorry for all the questions very very frustrated. Thanks for all you help

complete diagram http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...e528185if2.jpg

Do you have the #3 wire on the passenger side connected to the forward reverse switch? Is it hot with the key on and peddle depressed? The other small wire on that side goes to the rev. buzzer (see diagram) on the driver side the big wire goes to the motor and one small wire is the Neg that daisy chains to all solenoids.
I may have seen an unused wire in the harness on the driver side of the cart like this I worked on lately....
