Build or buy...Newb questions

I have been looking at carts for a while and I have settled on a club car. I have read and searched this forum for some of the answers I have and still need a little help. I would like a cart that will go 20-25 mph (maybe a little faster). At this point I plan on putting bigger street wheels and tires on it. I probablly wont lift it. The questions I have are as follows:

What is the best club car model and year to purchase?
What is the best performance motor and controller setup for the money? Is D&D any good?
What are the best batteries to purchase for my project?
Any good web sites that detail a cart upgrade with pictures?
What is a good reputable parts dealership?
Anyone know the cheapest way to get cart (ebay) ?

I figured out I would like to do a Series cart so please ignore that question...

Good Choice
You will need some lift for larger tires. Consider a 4 inch and some 22s

I contemplated doing the lift...Everyone around here has a lifted cart so I think I might go with LP tires and rims. I figure it will help my stability but then again I have heard it slows down your speed. Is that true?

Bigger tires = more speed.

What year to buy? The newer, the better.
