The wiring diagram that came with the reducer doesn't have show a relay in it,just an inline fuse on the positive from the reducer. Thanks

Up to you really, I am wiring mine up so that when the key is on it turns the reducer on. You really only need a relay when you are trying to keep a load off a certain circuit.

Yes you would but I would highly recommend making a fuse box. The pick below is the one I am installing in my cart. All you would need to do is on the load side of the key switch is run a hot wire from it, to the reducer and also a neg wire from the last battery in series to the reducer. This wireing is based on not having a control wire that switches the reducer on then off. Once that is wired in you come off the reducer with the POS 12 volts to the fuse panel and then have a neg from the fuse panel to the battery. This way you can wire all of your accessories seperate and each ahve its on fuse.

On edit if your reducer has a control wire, then run it to the key switch. There will be a seperate lead to goto your battries..IE POS to 1st battery, NEG to last battery.

Didn't really understand how you were explaining the wiring to turn on and off the reducer.

Some reducers come with a control or "trigger" wire . . this trigger wire would be run to the "cold" side of the keyswitch so when the cart in turned on with the key, the trigger wire would turn the reducer on . . . when keyswitch is turned off, the reducer is turned off . .

Not all reducers have this "trigger"/control wire feature, but an inline toggle switch could be added to provide the same ability . . .

This is a simple 3 wire diagram I made up... Hopefully you can read it.
This drawing doesn't have the trigger/control wire
