2002 Club Car ds speed sensor
I have a 2002 48v club car regen (it has the tow switch). The cart has 22x11 tires, a 6 inch lift and a rear seat. I have a 500 amp controller, a DandD high torque motor, a 400 amp HD solenoid, 6 brand new 8v batteries and 4ga wires through out(everything less than 3 months old). My problem is the cart goes faster in reverse than forward. I confirmed this by using a gps. The cart goes 11-12 mph in forward and 17-18 mph in reverse. It has been the same speed since i put the new motor on it, could the speed sensor have been bad from D and D. One more thing, when I unplug the speed sensor the speed of the cart remains the same. Should it even run without the sensor plugged in?

Re: 2002 Club Car ds speed sensor
Is your controller set on 50% or 100% for reverse? Was it doing this before you changed everything? Forward and reverse switch contacts all good and clean.
