did you check for burnt lugs on the F&R switch (Forward & reverse) if none then check a box under cart thats on the pass side bolted to the i-beam of the frame that the gas pedal rod turns in it's called a Potentiometer that tells the cart how fast to run or should i say how far you are pushing pedal down check that it has 2 wire plugs plugged in to it also they maybe lose

He doesn't have contacts. His switch is a rocker type F/R.

no, the switch isnt on the dash, its below the seat! i have checked inside the v-glide (or what ever its called)every thing appeared to look good, no burnt spots or any visual defects!

Thats right, I was mainly reffering to the rocker type switch and not the Series type switch. Either way it doesn't matter. He was reffering to a series type foward reverse switch. Yours does not have that type.

Re: 2000 club car, new batts, new controller, still very slow
this may sound dumb but check it since new batts were installed.......if its a 48 volt cart the rear battery on pass. side should have a 10 gage red wire along with the pos. battery cable........you might be charging only 5 batteries i can,t tell you how many times i have seen this wire put back in the wrong place........another thing is if the batts are brand new there is a break in period of 12 or so charge/discharge cycles before the batts. come up to 100% when they do the cart will get faster and you,ll notice it.....but check that 10 gage wire and make sure its in the right locarion......................

1. your pedal can wear and not be engaging fully. With car off, push pedal down, it should give a faint click fairly quick.
2. the outermost microswitch on your f/r switch may be faulty, forcing the car into permanent half speed. 3. shadowmans answer 4. interior motor issues. (not likely) |

Sure you have the right batts. 8volts, sounds silly but I have heard of this happening before!

If you put in an aftermarket controller than you may have to disable the regen solenoid or it becomes a big heat coil and the cart run very slow.
