Interested in Private Speed Mode
Myself and my neighbor have always been fascinated by golf carts. While all the other kids around us were riding their dirt bikes, atvs, and side-by-sides, we were riding my Club Cars.
All of my carts are almost completely stock,I use a 2004 Electric Precedent as my main cart. In total I've spent $2,000 on buying carts. Well, my neighbor went to a local custom cart shop and bought a $5,500 tricked out EZGO. It is a very sexy cart, and it is much faster than my carts. I'm content with keeping my budget for my carts under $3,000 and I am not willing to buy a lift kit/new wheels or a new motor just to match his speed. I'm interested in getting Private Speed Mode. My main cart has only been used 2 years of its life (its a long sad story, but it started out on a golf course, ended up in a disabled man's basement for 7 years, then ended up in my hands). The run time is great. My neighbor and myself ride it sometimes for 15 hours and it still has the same get up and go as it did when I first unplugged it, so battery is little concern for me. I'm interested in hearing your experience with speed code 4. Is it worth the $100 and trip to the dealer (we live 45 minutes away from one)? How much does the extra speed impact the battery life? Do you lose power in the lower RPMs? Thanks! |
