Default High Speed Magnet

For those who want more speed. If you are thinking about the high speed magnet that is advertised and sold. Be SURE to check you motor carefully before buying one. They say to make sure your speed sensor is mounted with two screws. I though I did. What I was looking at was the screws that hold the retaining ring for the motor bearing. (wrong) DO NOT take those out. As soon as I did I knew I had messed up. I will be taking my cart to the shop tomorrow to let them pull the motor to replace them. Good weather I'm going to play golf. Just though I would post this to hopefully prevent someone else for making the same mistake. Thanks.

Not every motor is capable of simply swapping out the magnet to gain speed. It depends on whether it is shunt or series wound.

Well I took my cart to the shop today and they pulled the motor and put the screws back in the bearing retainer ring. Now the wheels will not turn when you press the pedal. It just jerks a little. You can hear the relay click, and it seems like it wants to work but will not. The guy put a different motor in it and the same problem. Everything was fine before I took the screws out. I put the cart in "Tow" before I even jacked it up. Then as soon as I took the 2nd screw out I knew I had done the wrong thing so I stopped right there. The next thing I did was push it out of my building backward and push it forward onto the trailer. Then Push it backward off the trailer at his shop. Anyone have any though as to what the problem could be. (not counting me being stupid in the first place for taking the screws out.)
