Default 1999 48V club Car rattling noise

Hi everyone, I have just bought a 1999 .48V electric golf cart to use on my camping ground, and I noticed that when I release the feeder and let it glide I hear a rattling noise that seem to come from the motor/transaxle unit.

Can anyone tell me if that is normal as It sound like some sort of rachetting action just like if there was some loose marbles somwhere in the drive train.

Was told it might be a bearing in the motor, but it does NOT rattle when motor is engaged. it only do it when riding and releasing the feeder sometime noise is worst than others.

Any help please ?

Thanks!

i have the same rattle in mine, by looking in other forums I have read that thats most likely a $5 plastic bushing on the shaft of the motor, apparently a easy but time consumming fix. I'm leaving mine for a "winter project."

Thanks for the info. If you have any more info that you could provide me like part number, link to supplier link, exploded part diagram etc, that would be appreciated.

regards!!

that looks like what they are describing in this thread, "97 elect. Club car noise when accelerating and coasting" from what I've read it usually fixes the rattle.
