Cool New Member Need Tech. Help

Hi, I just purchased a customized 2004 Club Car electric Hummer Golf Cart from the Barrett Jackson auction last week in West Palm Beach Florida. When I got it home, I noticed a couple of things and I thought this would be a great place to get some help. The first thing is that I have a horn that is built into the steering wheel just like a car, I found the center cap, the center spring as well as the steering wheel logo wedged between the front seat. I know the horn works because I completed the circuit with a piece of wire. My problem is that I am missing the piece that holds the center cap, spring etc. in place. It looks like it would snap into place and allow you to push the center cap where the logo is down to complete the circuit. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement center piece or a least a new steering wheel that has a horn?

Second problem. The cart has reverse lights in the back but when you put it in reverse they do not illuminate. I tested the reverse lights by switching them to the brake light position to see if the bulb was blown and they do light up. I was thinking that when you put the cart in reverse there would need to be a connection that would light the reverse lights but I do not see a connection at the switch. I though that the previous owner may have disconnected the reverse lights at the switch because if you forget to but it in the neutral position it would drain the battery's since the circuit would stay open unlike the brake lights turn signals etc all of which would need to be activated. I did find two wires that have connectors under the seat that are connected on one end but go go to nothing on the other end. I do not know where they would connect at the reverse switch. I have searched the internet for a week for answers, you folks are my only hope. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

not sure if your custom cart has a custom steering column but I'm guessing it
does. Check this site out and see if they have what you need. http://www.ididitinc.com/universal_s...l_columns.htmlI have seen this column on a custom cart befor, maybe they can help.

Back up lights, thats new to me but if it were me I would start looking at the reverse buzzer circuit to see if they robbed power there somehow.
