2006 Club Car Drum problem..UPDATE
Quote:
Just ordered the kit from " Cart Parts Plus ", When I start I'll udate on my progress. I'll also do pics to post here. Right now I need to read up on pulling the axles as I've never done this before. I want to have all the old stuff off by the time I get the new stuff. Wish me luck. Edward |

Re: 2006 Club Car Drum problem..UPDATE
Finally finished except for one small detail which I'm hoping I'll get some feedback from someone. Tomorrow I will get in touch with Cart Parts Plus to see what they have to say about it.
Anyway the one hitch I ran into was the Caliper mounting bolt heads were scrapping on the inside of the wheel, it sounded wrose than it turned out. My resolution was to add washers onto each stud to give me the clearance I needed so this would not happen. Other than that it was a lot easier than I had hoped for. I had some problem finding a pair of 90 degree Snap Ring Pliers, I wound up getting a mechanic from one of the local Cart Shops to come by and take care of the Snap Rings so I could remove the old brake assemblies.($20.00) I'm posting some photos if anyhone is interested. |

Re: 2006 Club Car Drum problem..UPDATE
Looks nice . . as for the stud length, I would be asking Cart Parts Plus . . should have a full nut on the studs and you are short the thickness of the washers . . . the final pic you posted shows cart with chrome wheels . . are you having the same problem with bolt heads rubbing on inside of them also? If only "minor" rubbing and it does not prevent wheel from freely turning, can you try different type of bolt (shoulder/stripper bolt) that has a shallower head . . or grind down the head on the bolts you currently are using to provide the necessary clearance? . . .
