Newer precedent headlight install questions
I am helping a buddy of mine install the light kit on his 2008.5 precedent. He had to get the kit that comes with the wiring harness and reducer. The problem is that the kit didn't come with instructions so we are not sure where everything hooks up. Does anyone have any instructions or any suggestions on hooking them up? I know the 12 way plug goes up front and the two plugs goto the back for tail lights. But the problem comes in with the reducer. There are 2 small blue wires coming off the batteries and the kit includes a blue wire with a fuse. Also I found where the ground goes but just not to sure about the reducer. Plus there are 3 more wires coming out of the harness that I feel like are to be used if he hooks up break lights and turn signals but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

Re: Newer precedent headlight install questions
What kind of reducer? Factory? 16to12 or 48to12?

Re: Newer precedent headlight install questions
It is a 48 to 12. We got everything hooked up but the reducer. We plugged the blue harness into the 3rd battery so it is working. Just off 1 battery. Just wanting to hook the lights through the reducer. The reducer has a plug with 2 leads. Thanks for the help.

Just one plug? Or two? One with 2pin one with 3pin? Is it factory?

Re: Newer precedent headlight install questions
Sorry I done some more checking and I think it is the wrong reducer. I'm an checking with the guy that I got it from to see if he can get me the correct reducer. The one he sent me looks to be a for the 6 8 volt battery setup. It has 1 plug coming off of it. The plug has 2 connector in it.

Re: Newer precedent headlight install questions
If you can post a picture of the reducer and all the labels I'll tell you how to hook it up.
