2006 Precedent will not run-
I was installing speaker in my club car today and one of the metal mounting brackets touched the two terminals on top of the motor (where the access door is on the back). This caused a spark and pop. Now, everything works except when I try to drive it. The reverse sound will come on, stereo and lights work. When I push the pedal in a I hear it click once in the battery compartment like it is trying to engage the motor, but it doesn't move at all. Any thoughts?

Sparks are not good in that area . . . my initial thoughts are that maybe the controller was taken out by the short . . . wait for a more learned one than I to chime in . . .

What was the outcome? My 2006 is doing the same thing and I am trying to find out what I did.
Thanks, |
