2006 Club Car DS 48V IQ Regen System Low Speed Power Problem
I have a 2006 Club Car DS 48v IQ Regen cart. It is used primarily for hunting. It has a lift kit and 22" tires on it. It always runs great at higher speeds. The problem is that when I go really slow (less than 3 mph, or so) for short distances (less than a mile) it will "die" appearing as it if the batteries are running low. I can turn the key off, let it sit for a few minutes, and it will then run fine. If I continue at low speeds, this behavior continues to repeat itself. If I go at high speeds though, it never exhibits this behavior. I am looking for an answer/solution to why this cart acts this way. I know it is not limited to just this cart because we have another cart identical to this one but is a 2003 year model, and it does the exact same thing. Thanks.

Your controller is most likely going into thermal shut-down. The Regen carts are not meant to be driven at slow speed especially with the lift and large tires. They produce too much heat to withstand it.
