94 club car full speed only
HAVE A 94 CLUB CAR AND RECENTLY REPLACED THE MOTOR CONTROLLER WITH REBUILT UNIT. AFTER INSTALL THE CART IS NOW ONE SPEED FULL THROTTLE. AWFULLY FUNNY BUT MAKES FOR A HEADACHE. INITIALLY WHEN THE CONTROLLER WENT BAD HAD A BURN SMELL FROM IT AND DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING ELSE VISUALLY WRONG. ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Re: 94 club car full speed only
have you opened the V-glide and took a look? its possible the movable arm is missing the shoes for lower speed and only making contact for high speed but you need to open it and take a peek.................its the pie shaped black box on frame rail up by front drivers side battery....................................

You may have the wrong throttle input programmed in the controller for your cart.

Re: 94 club car full speed only
Took the vglide off and had tested all looks good now getting ready to test the volts on the motor as I found another thread that it may be a fault in the motor. Not sure do I test with battery connected or not? I'm still puzzled as most times with the controller issue it would be set backwards and start fast then idle but mine is full power with no slow mode.

Re: 94 club car full speed only
The previous controller was a curtis 1205 220a 24-36 volt and was replaced with a rebuilt one their number was a g432????? Said it fits multiple carts but now I wish I would bought a new one. Tough call 500 vs 150.

Re: 94 club car full speed only
$150 is fine if you want a temporary speed controller. Call the supplier and ask them if the control you got is programmed for 0-5k throttle input. If not, you need one that is.
If it is, then you have the cables connected incorrectly. |

Re: 94 club car full speed only
Is there any chance there could be something faulty in the motor? My husband is checking as we speak. Told to check with meter on the a1a2 & the s1s2 and also should this be tested while batteries are connected?

Not getting a reading from the motor at all. Any chance I'm using the wrong test on the meter. It is a multi function tests volts ohms and so on???

Re: 94 club car full speed only
I think you are barking up the wrong tree. I don't know of any problem with an electrical motor which would create the problem you describe. We know the motor and controller work, we just can't get the input regulated. Which is why I asked if you could contact the supplier or somehow verify that the throttle signal is set to match you cart. 0-5k ohms....
