New batteries need charging before use. You were incorrectly advised as the charger will come on for a fully charged pack.

Sisters are back from the golf course and the mechanic is going to check it out for us and will get back to us in a few days. I really appreciate all your help. The parts list diagram looks interesting too. I will keep you posted when I hear something. God bless you all.

Thank you Shadowman, I am pretty positive that the mechanic will fix it if it is broken for free or we just have to pay for the parts. Also I found out that one of the cells on our new batteries is dry. I found white foam all over the garage floor seems the battery case has a flaw in the manufacturing. One of the round spots on the bottom of the battery case where it came out of the injection molding process must have been very thin and sprung a leak. I hope this is covered by warranty.

It should be covered, they are new!
This could be your problem. Replace the battery and recharge
