Default Charging issue on president?

I have a 06-07 president 48volt golf cart, I plug in the battery charger and it buzzes and kicks the little braker on the front of the charger.

That sounds like the rectifier bridge is shorted. You can buy on line for around $15 and replace it yourself. You MUST pay attention to the wire connections - take a picture or draw a diagram. The breaker may now be weak if you tripped it a few times so buy one of those also.

heat sink and diodes and you might want to replace the breaker as well they get weak after tripping a few times..............................

This sounds like over my head .......... is there a place I can send the charger to get looked at and fixed. Or place to order parts so I can fix??

also its a 4-12volt battery cart. In the meantime can i just trickle charge eash battery seperatly? Do I have to disconnect the cables?

you don,t have to disconnect cables and if they are 12 volt batteries you can use a car charger just do each one which is going to take time.....if you trickle them its going to take forever......when charger comes on and hums does amp needle move up at all or no movement?? in most cases if its a diode or diodes ( theres 2 of them ) the needle will go up like normal and then it pops the breaker after about 10 seconds or so ( most of the time ) its not a hard or expensive fix takes all of 10 minutes................if your gonna take it somewhere make sure they are filmilar with golfcart chargers and know how to dianose them.............is it possible to try your charger on another cart to make certain its a charger problem? it sounds like one but you never know with carts cause if the charger works on another cart than its a cart problem..................................

I use it at the race track ... I think there are a couple people that have the same cart ill try the charger on another cart.

The needle does not go up.... you can hear it buzz, maybe a little louder then it would if it was charging. The neddle is still at 0 and the needle is just vibrating.... not moving, just vibrating with the buzzing. then trips the breaker.
