Default 48 Volt Powerdrive Charger

I have a 2002 CC DS and just put new batteries in. The Powerdrive charger got down to 4 amps on the meter and was still on after 30 hours. I know something is wrong. Any ideas.

Check and double check your connections for correct hookup. I believe the OBC controls the charging on these carts, so make sure any small leads didn't accidentally get left off on the battery installation. There are wiring diagrams in the stickys under the Electric Club Car heading.

your charger should shut off after 16 hours regardless so somewhere theres an issue......either charger is bypassed inside or OBC is bad..............OBC,s do go bad in that way just not often.......................................

Cart runs fine and responds to the throttle well. Would a bad OBC still let the cart run?

Probably not... It usually doesn't. Does the charger turn on immediately when the plug is inserted or is there a 2-10 second delay? It should be delayed. If it's not the obc is bad.

It just started doing this. After I run the batteries down I'll give it a try and see what it does. I did do a OBC reset last night in hopes it may help.
