Default 1996 club car

ok guys - here is a couple of newbie questions - probably been covered before, sorry for the repost if they have - I've been searching on the site for only a couple of days. here goes

I’m brand new to this site and to the world of golf carts. I’ve got an opportunity to buy a 1996 club car with a lift kit. here’s my concerns/questions:

Are parts available if something should break for a cart this old?
How difficult are they to work on for the average handyman like myself?
Anything in particular that I need to look for before I purchase?
What would a 1996 club cart “in excellent condition” sell for?

I'm trying to search this site for more info - anything else a newb like myself should know before I rush out a spend some money?

thanks for the help guys, again, sorry if this has been asked before,

Billy

That sounds like a resonable price. If you know the basics of how electric motors work and basic dc current you should have no problems working on the electrical....speed controllers can be tricky sometimes to troubleshoot but not too bad once you know how it all works together.

Steering is similar to a car, has ball joints, etc.

Brakes are real similar. brake via cable.
