After the lift was installed on it it want go.With the rearend jacked up the tires barley even move then stop. You can hear the solenoid click 2 times but nothing.I have checked all of the batterys and cables and bypassed the solenoid and still nothing.Any ideas?

Re: 2002 electric club car
My first reply, welcome to the forum. How new/old is the solenoid? I've had a couple sound good but the contacts were so worn or burned the current wasn't able to get to the motor, sort of like the solenoid was acting like a resistor. Good luck.

Re: 2002 electric club car
I have no idea of how old it is. I guess i need to see if the motor is getting power to see if the solenoid is working .

Re: 2002 electric club car
The biggest misconception...................
Just because a solenoid can be heard, doesn't mean it's working. More often than not, the contacts are burned up in the solenoid. You hear it activate and think it's doing it's thing........... And it's not. |

Re: 2002 electric club car
If you have jumpered the 2 large posts, and the wire doesnt get warm or hot, you should be good to go.

Re: 2002 electric club car
Can you hear the reverse buzzer when in reverse?
Does your F/R selector have a rocker switch or a handle to move back & fourth? |
