. . . buy one of the $25 ones and let us know how they are . . . we are only pointing out a unit that has proven itself and is reasonably priced . . .

I bought a 10A unit to run my lights and paid about $20 off of ebay. It shipped straight from China. The previous owner had wired the lights into one 8V battery, one out of the bank of 6 batteries. I measured the current before the install and was getting 7.6A. Installed the unit and getting 9.6A (expected). My only issue is the inline fuse on the secondary side of the voltage reducer gets hot. Not too hot to the touch but, it is warmer than I would like. The reducer does work fine. I installed a fuse on the primary side too, just in case there was an issue with the unit I did not want to harm the batteries.
