Check all your wiring. It won't be a solenoid unless it's wired wrong. Check the throttle circuit...might disconnect the throttle wires and see if it still takes off.

Unless your cart was already converted to an Mcor, you have a problem with the "pot box". That would be my guess, you could replace it for around $150 or convert to an Mcor for around $200. My 95 was doing the exact same thing, felt like the motor was going to jump off the axel. Sound familiar.

I'm Not Sure What A Pot Box Or Mcor Is? Are You Refering To My V-glide? I Have Rebuilt This Cart From The Ground Up. New Motor, Controller, Batt Cables, Micro Switches And F/r Switch. The Only Things That Are Old Are The V-glide, Solenoid, And The 14 Or 18 Guage Wires From The V-glide To The Solenoid And Controller. I Am About To Just Change Out Those Wires. I Have Looked At A Wire Diagram And Checked My Cart. Looks Right But I Can't Tell If Some Wire In The Wire Casing Is Crossed. Who Knows.

Black box under the gas pedal (underbelly of cart). Can you post a pic of your Vglide?
