Hey 1001, the first thing is th get the rear end up on blocks and the front scotched
to keep it from moving. Determine if the sound is coming from the motor or, Trans-axle.
Check the fluid levels in trans-axle. Check for any signs of arcing on motor electrical connectors .

It's likely your motor, but I wouldn't be 100% sure just based on what you feel with your hand. The motor is bolted rigidly to the differential, so either one would cause a vibration in the other.

Some reading about noisy motors:

Drain your differential oil and look for metal. There are two plugs on your differential. One is the drain, #22, the other is the fill, #21. This is for my cart, yours may be different. But I doubt it's different by much. If you know anything at all about cars, this should be really easy.

That looks like my cart... And to note, always loosing the fill plug first as I have read that some drained the diff and then had problems removing the fill plug and where screwed.

Why, yes, that is your cart! With Photoshop help from Scubabud.

If you can't remove the fill plug, you just flip the cart upside down before adding the 22oz of Wesson... Easy!
