36V resistor club car stops intermittently
Just purchased this 1990 cart. Runs great at full speed. Engine cuts off sometimes at slower speeds. Reverse buzzer sounds when switched to reverse. Nothing when stepping on gas. After a few minutes cart will start back up. Any help please? Batteries tested good.

Re: 36V resistor club car stops intermittently
its either a micro switch or a solenoid. Likely the master solenoid or its micro switch. the master solenoid is the one all the way to the drivers side.

Re: 36V resistor club car stops intermittently
The 1990 CC has only one solenoid A V-glide and a resistor coil pack provide speed control.
If you mean that if you keep trying the gas sooner or later it goes ... then it could be an intermittent MS (micro switch) on the F&R or in the V-glide. |

Re: 36V resistor club car stops intermittently
That is correct. Sooner or later it goes. About a 60 second wait. All connections seem to be tight, no loose wires. Thanks, I will try the cheapest first.

Re: 36V resistor club car stops intermittently
After further reading I see some people talk about the cart being lifted. This cart has been lifted if that makes any difference.

Re: 36V resistor club car stops intermittently
I keep pressing pedal, try changing from f to r and back, keep trying pedal, eventually it will go. I kind of panic. I'm going to try to really narrow this down. Thanks for everyone's replies. I'm a newbie.
