DS trailer
So if you saw my other post I have a 99 DS fram that is pretty jacked. Once I got it completly stripped, I just think its too gone to fix. There are multiple cracks in both I-beams, and almost all of the welds on the front tube are cracked. The whole dash part is pushed in almost 2 inches on the drivers side. I decided to scrap it and sell the parts (let me know if you need anything - I'll let you know if I still have it). So I have the frame loaded on the trailer ready to take to the scrap yard when I remembered a cart I saw on craigslist a while back - it had a matching trailer! I think this would be pretty cool to cruise around the neighborhood.
So I was thinking of cutting the front nose of and using the dash back as my trailer. I have only seen the one on craigslist but couldnt remember if it had the dash still or not. I did a quick search and found this: I dont like that there is no foot rest for the passenger. I'd also like the neighbors to have somewhere to put their beers and phones and whatnot, which is why I want to leave the glove boxes/cup holders.... Has anyone done this? Anyone have an tips before I dive in? Can I remove the transaxle somehow to let the wheels turn freely? |
