Looking for a mirror
I may be posting this in the wrong section, but I'm not sure where else it would go.... I am wanting one of those 5 panel mirrors that go across the top of the cart. Do you guys have a preference of which one to buy? I have a 2002 DS.
Thanks |

Re: Looking for a mirror
I bought mine from King of Carts who is a site sponsor. Here's the link:
http://www.kingofcarts.net/onlinesto...id=1&parent1=0 It works fine for me and I have had no problems with it shaking or vibrating. I think they are all pretty much the same. Good luck! |

Re: Looking for a mirror
I ordered a 5 panel mirror, which came with straight brackets to mount on my 05 precedent with factory top. I found that i had to bend the brackets to meet the mirror due to large gaps on both sides with the factory top. Also, it was imposible to tighten the mirror snug to the brackets. I did find an offset pair if brackets, but when i changed out the original straight ones, they were too tight and did not allow room for the mirror between them,so now i have 1 offset (bent) bracket and a straight bracket. Mirror is tight now with no wiggling.

I bought one like mentioned here when I bought the cart. They gave me some brackets along with it. It was a pain to get it on with the roof, but it works and does not wiggle at all.

Re: Looking for a mirror
My cart came with a five panel mirror installed. I have not taken it out but I never use it. Just seems wrong some how. I bought two side mirrors that mount top the roof mount. I really like them. I'm looking for a link. They were only $30 for the pair. If interested let me know and I'll find them for you.

Re: Looking for a mirror
Found a great way to hang a 5 panel mirror using all factory mounts. I used 2 1/4-20 rod couplings and a few washers with a 1/4-20x1/2" bolt and attached the rod coupling to the front top bolt on the strut where it attaches to the roof, and used the long straight mounts that came with the mirror and threw the angled ones away. Then just ran the bolt to the rod coupling sandwiching the mount between the bolt and the coupling. No shake and nice and solid it looks great too.
I will post a picture soon |
