Default 86 36V has one speed -WHIPLASH!

Yesterday, I just bought a used 86 CC, 36V. When I test drove it I realized it would take off rather fast, and that soon became irriating. This morning it has stopped doing that......now it TAKES OFF in high gear as soon as I turn the key to on!

I will take it in to be serviced tomorrow, but I don't want to be "taken" and charged for parts I dont really need.

I am looking for feedback on what might be wrong, i.e. faulty controler, solenoids, etc.

THANKS in advance!

Sounds like solenoid is stuck and possibly speed board is damaged. Check speed board for welded contacts. You may be able to grind/clean contacts. Also check resistors. Unless upgraded your cart doesn't have a controller.

Welcome to the forum RB57..................

Yep, be prepaired to purchase at least 1 solenoid, maybe a couple. I doubt your cart has a controller. Your cart probably has 5 solenoids.

Let us know.............
