Default 1995 48 volt club car

Tomorrow I'm picking up a 1995...ish 48 volt club car DS. I think it's a series since the FNR switch is by the knee. I have a gas powered Club Car so I know the basics but anything special I need to look for? 18 month old batteries guy is only asking $300 cause the charger stopped working last week. I know I need to check the batteries since they might have been run down. I'm just new to sparkies and don't know where to look.

well if its a 95 ds and the charger just quit if its not a charger problem and the batteries are good and have at least 38 volts in pack that it could be an OBC problem.....check color of dash battery light if its red thats the original OBC...............or it could be the grey wire rotted in receptical......either way for that kind of money its worth it to replace OBC if you have to........you,ll get a kit with OBC a new grey wire and a updated orange battery light..............................hopefully he didn,t ruin 18 month old batteries i have seen that way to many times...................................

Well just went to look at it and he was wrong on so many fronts. It's a 36 volt resister cart with 4 year old batteries. I told him all this and I still ended up with it. For the low low price of get it off his yard. Batteries surprisingly still have some juice in them but I need to know how to diagnose this dang charger.
