Default Charger Not Turning On

Evening Fellas, I have a '96 DS 48 volt cart. It has new batteries and a Power Drive 2 charger model 22110. I charged the cart 2 days ago and it worked fine. I took it for a 25 minute ride today and when I came home I plugged the charger into the cart nothing happened. I've measured the voltage across the whole pack at 50.2 volts and each battery @ between 8.36 volts and 8.38 volts. Is it that the batteries are full as to why it's not turning on? Thanks for any input!

good chance the OBC went bad, if you can try charger on another cart that would confirm the OBC............try lifting the seat and giving the grey wire a tug see if it comes out of receptical if so thats the problem, iffuses on cart are ok ( the one on receptical and the one in grey wire ) its not uncommon at all for OBC to go out on that year cart..............even more so ifs its the orginal ......your dash battery light if its red than its never been changed..................................

Sorry, I was thinking of the wrong cart. This cart is a '99.

same as the controller? if that goes, will the cart still work? it runs fine. The guy I bought the cart from said that the controller was replaced when the batteries were replaced.

If the OBC goes bad, yes the cart will run fine but will not charge as the OBC controls that. You can buy chargers that have there own computer internally and you would then just bypass your OBC on your cart.

Thanks for the info. How much does a new OBC cost? It doesn't look like too big of a job to replace.

I think around $200/300. I see you are from Kingsville. I used to go there alot. I loved Cedar Island. How long have you lived there?
