On a Series style cart this statement would be true, but on a Sepex style cart a higher amp controller will increase top speed. Been there, done that.

Homework finished.

Hey Gornoman, never heard that before, maybe I should upgrade my controller. Do you know why though it is different on a sepex motor? Or maybe someone else?

I too would like to know how/why it is diff on a sepex as I generally advise my customers to start with gears...Controller may be a better choice for the future and can someone advise on speed gain...

Great information from all on here! I've got a speedylink on my precedent and I'm getting 19mph but I'd love to increase it even more. I'm not sure I'm ready to go the controller route but if gears would help I'd definitely be interested. From searching it seems that my stock rear may not have any high speed gears avaliable but I may be completely off on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction as well as tell me which ratio I should get? Thanks in advance.
