Precedent rear speakers....anyone done this?
Hello all! I've done almost everything I can think to do to my cart including an overhead console with speakers and ipod dock but I'd really like to add two additional speakers in the rear. Has anyone done this or have any advice on how to do it? I've gone "burl crazy" with dash, radio console, and steering wheel but since there are no aftermarket rear consoles in burl walnut I'm sure I will have to come up with something else. Oh yeah, I'd like to stay in the 5.25" size to match the front speakers. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Precedent rear speakers....anyone done this?
I installed an 8" sub box underneath the rear seat, and I have two 6 1/2's on the top deck between the front and rear seat. I also put two 5 1/4's using the pods on Ebay. I am using an amp with a reducer. It sounds awesome. I will post picks later..

Re: Precedent rear speakers....anyone done this?
I only have two speakers and they are attached at the rear of the top. I bought some cheap white marine speakers and bolted them to the two tabs that hang down on my 2007 Precedent.
They aren't the best but they are loud enough for the yard. It's also nice having the speakers near your ears when camping because I can keep the volume at a level that wont bother anyone. |

I made a rear pod for a pair of 5 1/4" speakers out of fiberglass. Here is the link to the thread: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...-pod-born.html

Man that's a great idea putting them in the basket! How did you go about doing it? I've got the same overhead console that you do but I was wondering how to get the speaker wires from it to the back. I know the rear supports are hollow but are you able to run the wire in the roof back to them? Thanks in advance for the help.
