Resistor cart build

Well thanks to people here my first electric cart is running so I'm doing a build thread. It's an old club car resistor cart that I got with dead batteries and the PO was using a 48V charger on a 36V cart. The guy was a pretty big guy and lived on a hill. The suspension sags to the driver side and the brakes were so glazed it's crazy. But hey I got it for free. A friend upgraded to 48v so I got his 9 month old US2200 batterie for labor on installing a custom audio/video system in his wifes car. Today I traded a GPS for an EZGO 36V charger and swapped the plugs. Charged up great. I don't think this cart is stock just by reading on here. GPS 19.5mph and from a dead stop lifts the front wheels with 2 people on it. Didn't think a 36v resistor cart could do that. It's not going to be my work horse or camping cart but a neighbor hood cruiser. So I decided to do a rat rod look to it. Today while it was charging a my buddy and I cut 4" out of the front top supports to give it a raked chopped look. I'll get pics of that later. I have some Chrome baby moon caps I'm going to throw on and paint it all flat black and I'm thinking of some red stripes down the top. But here's the pics for now pretty much how I got it but with air the tires and good batteries in it.

Today I lowered the front of the cart to give it a more raked hot rod look. I took the front spring out and flipped it over and swapped the centering pin the other way. Bolted it back in and that dropped it 3 1/2". I built a new upper shock mount and set the allignment. It can all easly go back to stock and didn't cost me a dime. I can post during pics if any one is interested. But here's a pic of it with the chopped top and lowered front. The chopped top supports we added are temp till a local guy bends me a new front top support the correct size.

Didn't do a whole lot to it today. I adjusted the brakes. The PO kept tightening the cables at the peddle but the wheel side was still adjusted all the way out. You has about an inch of peddle play till it wouldn't push any more and you pretty much coasted to a stop. Interesting tho is now that I lowered the front end it doesn't lift the front wheels any more. Push the peddle all the way down and it just squeels the tires.

If any one there is interested here it is painted. The body is pretty dang hammered so I will be replacing it. I painted this one in the mean time so I can see how it's all going to go together. I also painted the baby moons the same red as the stripes. I like it better then the chrome (which was a pain to strip off). The 4th pic is a really crappy cell phone pic but you get the idea. I still have along way to go on this one but I'm getting there.
