Default Slow up hill or when loaded down? Bad Batteries?

I bought a 2000 club car 36v off my grandparents a couple yrs ago when i bought it 2 yrs ago the batteries were 2 yrs old so they are now 4 yrs old I only use it at the lake on wknds. It has the v glide system with the coils . it keeps getting slower & slower when going up hills or when it is loaded down . It will almost stop when going up hills and i am talking about very small hills. I am sur the batteries need changing but just want to get some more opinions if anyone thinks it possibly has other problems. I have already replaced the cables last month.

General lifespan of a battery is 4-6 years...best way to find out for sure is to do a load test on the entire pack and see what the voltage drops to...

You need a solid state conversion and 48v upgrade!
You do that and you'll find the cart you wished you had

I have the needle style gauge on dash on a fresh charge it drops below half way on any small incline or with a couple of people on it

How expensive is the conversion? I am trying to decide whether to just buy a newer ezgo with new batteries or put new batteries on mine and possibly a conversion

Conversions run between $700 - $1000 depending upon how big you want to go.
