Default Lift kit

Could someone please send me a detailed diagram of the cheap lift (the one that you use pipe and flat blocks) ? I am going to try and get my friend to make me one but I have no idea about the measurements or how to mount it. It is for an 02 CC.

Thanks guys!!

There aren't any detailed diagrams available or even just diagrams.

I don't want to be rude, but if you rig something up, you risk breaking your frame, destroying your rear end etc..etc.etc...

For someone to build you one cheap, you would still be at a couple hundred dollars. It would be in your best interest to save up until you can afford a lift that is going to outlast your vehicle.

gsxrfan,

I'm with Tim in this one!
unless your an outstanding "fabricator",
your safety will be at risk by just "throwing" a lift together!

The least expensive lifts that I've seen are the 4" "Z" bracket lifts for @ $100.00
(don't quote me on that)
but sadly, you'll have to cut your frame.
and, the heck if I can remember who sells them!

Check with Tom @ CPP or Mike @ Mikes Motor toys
(Both BGW site sponsors) to see what they could find for you!

Don and Tim you are both correct, it's not a cost issue but a safty issue. What is your life as you know it is worth? Welding new alum can be tricky but used alum that has dirt residue on it can be very difficult, cleaning it is not an easy process and then still end up with dirt. Then on top of that you can boil dirt out of clean alum depending on the quality of the alum. Then if you have the cost of the materials and you will have 1/4 the cost of a good quality kit.
