Default Diagnose a faulty OBC

The OBC in my 2004 Club Car has been replaced twice, the last replacement was 11 months ago. New batteries (NAPA) were installed in Jnauary. Recently the car would not run at full speed and was sent to my service shop where after a "load test" I was told that two batteries were defective. They were replaced under warranty and the problem occured again. I disconnected then reconnected the positive battery lead and the problem seems to have been corrected but I expect this is a short term fix. I've just read the ALLTRAX Resetting procedures and will perofm that step tomorrow. In the meantime, how do I diagnose a faulty OBC and secondly can a fairly proficient DIYer replace the OBC. The last replacement ran about $350.

You can buy a stand alone 48v charger for less than that and toss the OBCs.
