Dealer remanufactured or dealer used
Hi
First question does Club Car themselves put together their remanufactured carts or is this an Authorized Dealer thing? Does it matter what year the original was made, what l have been seeing is nothing newer then 2009 or older then 2007. What l am looking for is 2008.5 so that l have a 6-8V set up. It appears that everything is switched out but it's not cheap. High $4000 to mid $5000 without talking. This includes new Trojan batteries. What are your thoughts??? Six month warranty. Thanks |

Re: Dealer remanufactured or dealer used
The reason you do not see anything older or newer than those dates is because the dealers are getting their stock from golf courses when the leases come up, which are generally about 3-4 year terms.
I do not know the answer as far as a Club Car Certified cart, but at the prices you are being qouted I assume that is what you are looking at. My personal experience: I bought my 2008 Precedent from a local Club Car dealer that they totally went through and with a new exterior body. My price was $3,500 with used but tested good batteries. I had the option to go with new batteries for $4,200. Nothing real special about my cart, it had sand bottle holders, ice chest, fold down screen, new wheels and tires. I would not say the cart was showroom quality only because the floor was not replaces so you could tell it was used, but otherwise looked new. About 8 years ago I bought a year 2000 from the same dealer and the price back then was $4,200 as well. |

Re: Dealer remanufactured or dealer used
Club Car itself rebuilds their own carts, as do the dealers. You can get them either way. If you can find a reputable dealer I would definitely not be leery of buying a dealer refurbed car. Either way you can't go wrong as long as you find a good dealer.
